Fatih Municipality Presents AI and Data-Driven Urban Solutions at GITEX AI Türkiye 2026.
Fatih Municipality showcased its work in artificial intelligence and data technologies at GITEX AI Türkiye 2026, held at Istanbul Expo Center on September 9–10. The municipality’s exhibition stand featured a range of digital applications developed for different areas of municipal services.

One of the projects presented at the expo, Digital Twin Fatih, aims to monitor the district’s physical structure through a digital model. The project is designed to enable more detailed analysis of urban data and support the use of this data in planning processes.

Digital Applications in Municipal Services

Among the projects introduced at the event was “Martı – Digital Assistant,” an AI-supported solution developed to respond to citizens’ questions about municipal services. The system aims to provide citizens with faster and easier access to relevant information.

The FATEM project, developed for municipal cleaning operations, combines artificial intelligence, IoT sensors and geographic information systems. The system is designed to enable more systematic monitoring of cleaning activities and support data-driven operational management.

The municipality’s IVR Dashboard, developed for its call center operations, was another solution presented at the expo. The system enables call records to be converted into text and analyzed according to specific categories.

Urban Data Collected Through a Centralized System

Another solution presented by Fatih Municipality at the expo focuses on monitoring data from 78 service centers across the district through a centralized dashboard. The collected data is analyzed to evaluate service processes and support the planning of future municipal activities.

The adoption of digital twin technology by local governments enables cities to be monitored not only through conventional maps and planning tools, but also through detailed digital models of their physical environments.

The projects showcased by Fatih Municipality at GITEX AI Türkiye 2026 demonstrate the expanding use of artificial intelligence, sensor technologies and data management in municipal services. Digital Twin Fatih stands out as an example of how these technologies can be applied to urban planning and city management.
